WW: Save the Date

Even though we are still 8 months out from the big day, we wanted to get our save the dates out early since about half our guests will be traveling to Wilmington and we wanted to provide ample time for planning. Not only is it a plus because hopefully more people can plan to make it, but also it's a HUGE check mark off our list :) Now that everyone has got them (hopefully), I can share!

Since we're looking for all possible ways to save some dolla bills, I decided to DIY them and am so happy with how they turned out!

Next up on the big ol' to-do is catering....any words of wisdom are welcome!

Linkin' up again with Jordon & Meredith!
Love Always, Nancy J

  1. Girl, these are so cute! I am new to the blogging world, thanks to my sis Elise @ Cheers Yall for giving me the bug, and am so excited to be joining in this awesome community. I cannot wait to follow your blog with GFC and read more about your planning process...trust me, 8 months flies by! I'm just about to the 4 month mark and it is CRAZY. Xx.

  3. These are awesome! DIY save the dates are all over the place right now. I did our save the dates myself and lots of the other paper products for our wedding, thanks to VIsta Print and digi downloads on Etsy. If you want any recommendations just ask me, I would love to share with you what we did to save money and be more personalized!!!

  4. Super cute save the dates! Love love love them! The date helps a little too! Haha.

As for catering, one of my biggets recommendations is to make sure that when you go for the tasting, they are planning to give you the food you're wanting for your wedding. At our first tasting, the majority of the food was fantastic, but we said we wanted Fried Chicken at our wedding, the restaurant serves fried chicken, the girl we were working with even raved about the fried chicken 5 minutes before we started eating and we never got to try the fried chicken. They were clearly more focused on up selling us on steak/fish/etc. So I would mention that at the very beginning. If there's one surprise I don't want, it's not knowing whether I'll like the food at our wedding! Good luck!
