Wedding Wednesday: Shoe Decision

When it comes to my wedding shoes I have such mixed feelings. Part of me wants to get an absolutely beautiful pair that totally screams "wedding", but my wallet and my feet think differently. I mean really, the only reason I want really pretty ones if for pictures (let's be honest). All I really care is that they're cute and comfy...it's just not THAT important to me. And since our venue is almost entirely grass, I'm wearing of getting a really "spikey" heel. But, I'm not sure I want to be wearing wedges in my dress. So, I've been looking for a happy medium. Although a few of these are out of my price range, it's still fun to look!

What are your thoughts when it comes to wedding shoes?

Love Always Nancy J

  1. All of those are so pretty!!! I am rather short (5'4") so I needed a high heel especially since my man is one or two inches of 6 feet and my bridal party is seemingly tall minus a couple of girls....buuut comfort was key!! I wound up going with a shoe that has a more chunky heel + has a small platform on the front to keep me as comfortable and tall as possible :) I might bring a pair of my most comfortable wedge sandals to change into if necessary though!! So much goes into the she planning :) xx.

  2. I think the kate spade pump would be perfect and you could totally wear it again!!

  3. The Kate Spade ones remind me of the heel I'm wearing, so I choose that one since we're wedding twinsies ;) Check out these Nine West Camya Peep Toe. They don't have the gold anymore, but looks like they still have lots of fun options! I wore them to a wedding recently and never took them off my feet. I'm a huge baby when it comes to heels, so that's really saying something. Also, they don't break the bank!

  4. Ahh the shoe struggle was so real! I went with some Badgley Mischka's that I found on sale. Are you a Rue lala member? They have wedding shoes quite often that are fabulous and are a great price!

  7. I love the wedge!! I decided to go with cowboy boots...mostly for comfort reasons! Why I like the idea of some awesome beautiful sexy shoes...go with what is the most comfortable!!

  9. Those laser cut ones are to die for! I bought a pair of Badgley Mishka's and I only got to wear them on my wedding day :( Since they were white satin and I was in dirt for many of our photos they have a light dust on them that I can't get off. Total bummer (and I only wore them for the ceremony and photos!)

  11. I love the Kate Spade ones but those laser cut ones are pretty hot! I wore a pair of Badgley Mishka's and they weren't too comfortable so I ended up taking them off for the reception and wearing flip flops instead!

  12. Finding shoes was harder for me than finding the dress! I'm 5'8 so I wanted short, but pretty heels so I'd like tiny next to my husband. My normal 4inch heels and I'm basically his height! I barely even ended up wearing the shoes I picked out the day of my wedding. Go for comfort! I recently saw an idea for foot jewelry if you'd dare to go barefoot: http://www.ladybead.com/
