Embracing Our Neck of the Woods

I absolutely love where we live--I love our cottagey apartment, walking to the beach, walking up and down our surrounding streets with all the beautiful gardens, and all the yummy nearby restaurants. All too often, though, I think I take it for granted. So, more and more recently we've been trying to embrace our location--this past weekend, even though the weather was a bit crummy, we set out on a bike ride to Balboa Island. Nothing too special, but it was a nice little trip, we walked around and had lunch at a cute litte Italian place. I loved it because the whole Island was decked out in Patriotic decor, in true American summer spirit!
